Thank you from Andrew on election for Parkhurst and Hunnyhill
Thank you to all who voted in the election for a councillor for Parkhurst & Hunnyhill. I am particularly grateful to those who voted for me.
I was elected as councillor with just under 60 percent of the votes cast. The result is:
Andrew Garratt (Lib Dem) | 449 | (59.4%) |
Conservative | 179 | (23.7%) |
Green | 79 | (10.4%) |
Labour | 49 | (6.5%) |
Majority | 270 |
As I said in my campaign, my commitment is to be a councillor who keeps in touch, listens to local people and takes action – however ‘big’ or ‘small ’ the issue.
If there is an issue affecting you and you would like my advice or help please contact me.
I was also elected to Newport & Carisbrooke Community Council as one of two councillors for Parkhurst and Hunnyhill. There was no voting however as there were only two candidates for the two vacancies meaning we were elected unopposed.
